Relapse Prevention
Relapse happens when a susceptible addict enters unhealthy behavioural patterns as a
result of a complicated distortion of several thoughts, resuming substance use after a time
of abstinence. It is therefore necessary to provide a recovering addict with proper skills and
tactics to prevent a relapse. To make the addict more conscious of the perplexing character
of the illness, a number of clinical therapies are combined.
